Shiner Software

How it works

From first conversation to “it’s handled.”

No jargon, no mystery process. Here’s exactly what working together looks like.

The process

Five steps.

  1. 01

    A free consultation

We talk about your business, your current website if you have one, and what you actually need. Plain English, no obligation, and no pressure — if a managed plan isn't the right fit, I'll say so.

You bring: the problem. That's it.

  2. 02

    A written plan

You get a clear written scope: what I'll build, what it costs, what's included ongoing, and what would cost extra. The agreement is signed with Shiner Solutions, LLC dba Shiner Software, and managed plans carry a 12-month initial term.

You provide: existing website or source material, or your business information and what the site should say.

  3. 03

    The build

I build your website — custom-designed for your business on a proven foundation, so it's efficient without being a template. You review it before anything goes live, and we adjust until it's right. Copy can be reorganized or rewritten along the way.

You provide: feedback. I handle domains, hosting, migration, and the technical setup.

  4. 04

    Launch, in your name

Your domain, hosting, and core accounts are set up so you own them. I operate them through access you grant — and can revoke. If you ever leave, the website goes with you, not with me.

    You keep: everything.

  5. 05

    Handled, month after month

From launch on, the website is my responsibility: hosting, security updates, backups, and routine changes on your plan's cadence. You email me what you need — "update our hours," "add this photo," "post this job" — and it gets done.

You do: your business. I do the website.

Access, not custody

How I manage what you own.

The arrangement is deliberate: everything is yours, and I work inside it.

  • Domain registered to you — I administer DNS through delegated access
  • Hosting and services in your accounts — I’m an authorized operator
  • Source code in your repository — I’m a contributor
  • Billing on your card for third-party services — no markup pass-throughs hidden in my fee
  • Every access I hold is revocable by you, any time
